Treatment Options for People with Liver Diseases:

Treatment for liver disease depends on the nature of the disease and stage of illness. These vary from changes towards a healthier lifestyle, some medicines, tapping fluid out from the tummy, etc. Depending on the severity of the illness, admission to Critical Care Unit may also be necessary. Some people unfortunately have very limited options other than undergoing a liver transplant.

Some Precautions to Prevent or Delay Liver Diseases:
  • Eating healthy
  • Exercising regularly after consultation with your doctor
  • Avoiding Alcohol, smoking and tobacco in any form
  • Getting vaccinated as per National or International recommendations
