1st Interventional Pulmonology Update Rajasthan 2018 was conducted successfully by Department of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, CK Birla Hospitals, RBH at Hotel Royal Orchid, Tonk Road, Jaipur on 13th October 2018, Saturday. It was first of its kind event in the field of Pulmonology in Rajasthan where chest physician/pulmonologist from all over the state came and shared knowledge.
Eminent speakers from all over India discussed the cutting edge technology and techniques/ recent advances in the field of Interventional Pulmonology. Dr. Ravindra M Mehta, Chief Critical Care and Head Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine from Apollo Hospitals, Bengaluru, Dr. Amit Dhamija, Consultant Chest Medicine, Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, Dr. Rohan Aurangabadwalla, Consultant, Pulmonologist & Interventional Pulmonologist, Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, Dr.Rakesh Godara Consultant, Pulmonary & Critical Care, Interventional Pulmonologist, CK Birla Hospitals RBH, Jaipur had given lectures on Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Rigid Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial management of broncho-pleural management. A panel discussion was done on the importance of tissue diagnosis and the role of cryobiopsy in the diagnosis and management of interstitial lung disease.
Dr. Rakesh Godara, organising secretory of the event told that it was hands-on workshop on endobronchial ultrasound, conventional TNBA, argon plasma coagulation (APC)/ cautery and rigid bronchoscopy where students/delegates learned skills of advance pulmonology procedures from experts in the field.
